  5. Coin collection.

My mom bought someone's coin collection at a yard sale for two dollars, indian head coins from the 1800s to international coins to specialty coins. Someone's whole life's work. For two blinking dollars. Imagine.

    What?

  6. This reminds me that yesterday I put pennies in the penny jar, and noticed the "silver" jar is getting pretty full. We used to save all our change and cash it in for something special. Now we save our change and sometimes forget about it. It's time to remember.

  7. You were so frustrated that you are now down to coins for your house payment that knocked over the water bottle.

  11. Heard some guy on TV a few years back spouting off on 'strategies to save money in the bad economy.' He suggested saving all your change and using it at the end of the year for a vacation. So I got a big jar and for one year I saved all my coin. After I finally finished rolling all of it--with the help of the grandkids--I had twenty bucks. Vacation?? That wouldn't even get me one night in the No-Tell Mo-tel!!

  12. I was thinking I used to have dreams when I was little of finding piles of change in the streets. I was too little to imagine paper money.
