Jump over to ms Dianne Estrella's web page http://dianeestrella.com/ and see all the fun things she is up to. This is an entry for a "micro fiction" written to the photo prompt that she has posted.
"Ok, once again; Open the can of soup, pour it into the saucepan, add a cap of milk, set the stove-top burner to med, place the pan on the flame and wait. I will be home for dinner shortly."
That sounds like me having to give my husband instructions on cooking. His answer is usually McDonalds.... :O)
ReplyDeleteGood one! I like her daughter's interpretation, too!
ReplyDeleteVery cute and clever Glenn! I have to work on my microfiction now :)
ReplyDeleteHe must be talking to another male :)
ReplyDeleteHa! My conversation (with daughter) went like this: "1st turn off the burner and cover the pan with a lid. Then open all of the windows to air out the smoke. I'm on my way home" True story!
ReplyDeleteMy hub likes detailed instructions like this from me as he generally never cooks. Good one...I enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteI'm buying it!
ReplyDeleteIf the other person needs to be told, perhaps it's better to wait a little longer and demonstrate..!
ReplyDeleteNot sure this one is fiction! ;)
ReplyDeleteSometimes it takes clear instructions..on days like 'those' (although this drill must be well worn!)..tiny but full to the brim of the story-tin..Jae
ReplyDeleteYou really have a knack for getting it just right. I would have struggled for hours with that photo...and I suspect you simply wrote the first thing that occurred to you. And it was perfect.
