Could this be portrait of an "Old Codger"

Have you ever been walking or perhaps driving, and think, "What was that"?
Doing a "double" take (look) ? Watching a movie? Or, perhaps even reading a passage in a book and you have to go back a page and re-read.

Sometimes, things just ain't what they seem..reckon? :)

Photo borrowed from above blogsite. Check it out.  Fun visit

What do you see, or see at first glance?  Then What did you see? Hummm...

  1. I see a good samaritan? and someone lying on the ground who is wrapped in pain...there's a river there that offers healing and coolness. But the one on the ground has given up.
It could be an old codger, I guess, but he's definitely a kind one.

  2. Okay, I saw a face at first glance--Of course, you did lead your viewer with your title! so it's not really an objective look. but the horse jumped out prominently upon a second glance, and then everything else came into focus...you are such a clever old codger...

  3. I love those kinds of pictures! I can usually see both images, in quick succession.

Check out the work of Giuseppe Arcimboldo, too.

  4. I saw the scar on his face first...
Wonder what that says of me. There must be some science behind this. Then the horse, then the rider, water, sleeping man, and leaves...in that order. Hmmmmm

  5. I'm usually terrible at these things, but I saw it almost immediately! Artists must have so much fun drawing these things!

  6. At first glance I saw an old man and then I saw the person on the horse. After that I enlarged the pic and could see everything. These pics are so neat to look at!!

  7. The man, of course, but as jbc says, you lead us, didn't you? And then I thought about the man. And then - then, later, I saw the rest. But I'm still thinking on the man.

  11. I saw the old codger...but sumthin' looked fishy so I clicked on it and blew it up. Not really exploded it, but made it bigger. That's when the sombrero buy on the horse popped right out.

I was relieved 'cause sometimes I am the only one that can't see what is so obvious to everyone else.
