"Abby's American Cup"

If by some chance that you don't know that I have three daughters, then welcome to my blog because it is very likely your first visit. :)

It has always given me pleasure for them to acheive and think for themselves.  I also like to bring attention to other youngsters, both male and female, when I feel they are working toward a goal of their own.  I have never been sailing but have been intrigued by sailing since my youth.  Somehow I stumbled onto a sailing site and its connection to a blog about sailing.  It turns out to be the project of a sixteen year old girl with a dream.  She has an enormous dream, only shadowed by the determination to acheive her dream.

For an uplifting and inspirational trip, jump to here blog and then to her official website to see for yourself.

  6. Oh my gosh. My daughter is sixteen and I can't even fathom the idea of her taking on a quest like this. Actually, we read about a solo sailor last week in the paper...it must be Abby. Simply amazing. Thank you for sharing Glenn.
